COSA CIP 77 is an inorganic acid detergent developed for CIP cleaning of pharmaceutical and cosmetic processing equipment. It is used on equipment such as homogenisers, tanks, pipelines and fermenters, with particular suitability for iron oxide red pigment residues.

Applications
- Standard CIP after alkaline cleaning and an intermediate rinse: typically 0.5-2% at 60-80 C for 20-30 minutes.
- Iron oxide red pigment removal: typically 5-10% at 60-85 C for 20-30 minutes.
- General cleaning: typically 1-3% at 5-85 C, with contact time based on the level of soiling.
