COSA PUR 80 is a neutral surfactant-based booster for pharmaceutical and personal care process cleaning. It improves the removal of high-fat, water-free and otherwise stubborn organic residues in CIP and manual applications.
Key features and benefits
- Strong performance against fatty and water-free formulations.
- Suitable for creams, ointments, emulsions, oils and tablet-coating residues.
- Can enhance selected alkaline and acidic COSA CIP cleaners.
- Suitable for both CIP and manual cleaning.
- Supported by Ecolab validation and residue-analysis documentation.
Applications
- General CIP for pipelines, homogenisers, coaters and fermenters: typically 0.5-1.5% at 60-85 C.
- Manual cleaning: typically 0.5-1% at 15-50 C.
- For spray applications, heat the solution above 50 C before activating spray devices to reduce foam formation.
- Final rinsing is most effective below 40 C using water of minimum drinking-water quality.
