COSA PUR 88 is a specialist CIP additive for silicone oil and fatty process residues. It is used with alkaline cleaning solutions to improve removal and suspension of difficult silicone contamination in pharmaceutical and cosmetic equipment.

Applications
- General CIP for homogenisers, pipelines and tanks.
- Typically 1-2% alkaline COSA CIP solution plus 1-2% COSA PUR 88.
- Typical temperature range is 65-85 C; below 65 C, foam may form.
- Final rinsing is most effective below 40 C using water of minimum drinking-water quality.
