COSA CIP 92 is a liquid alkaline cleaner formulated for difficult organic soils in pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing. It removes fat, oil, oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions and is also suitable for Carbopol and similar polymeric materials.
Key features and benefits
- Non-chlorinated alkaline formulation for process-equipment cleaning.
- Broad performance against fatty, oily and emulsion-based residues.
- Suitable for Carbopol and similar polymeric materials.
- Powerful blend of surfactants, sequestrants and alkaline agents.
Applications
- General CIP for homogenisers, pipelines and tanks: typically 1-4% at 45-95 C.
- Contact time depends on the type and degree of soiling and should be optimised through cleaning trials.
- Heat the solution above 50 C before activating spray devices to reduce foam formation.
- Final rinsing is most effective below 40 C using water of minimum drinking-water quality.
